Andy (13) is the youngest member of his shooters’ guild. Due to the shortage of youth members, the schutterij may cease to exist, unless he takes action. Or is he fighting a losing battle?

Thirteen-year-old Andy made a vow to his grandfather and mother: to never abandon the shooters’ guild that used to be their ruling passion. Due to the shortage of youth members, Andy has now been the youngest member of the schutterij in Slek, Limburg for years. If he won’t find any new members, the guild will soon cease to exist. But the village children prefer other hobbies. This endearing portrait of a boy clinging to a family tradition also draws an apt portrait of a village where traditions are slowly perishing.
