Unconventional dance film is set in a bunker, where a man and a woman are seeking shelter from the rain.
Shelter is the result of the collaboration of choreographer Shusaku Takeuchi and director Paval Conen. The unconventional dance film is set in a bunker, where a man and a woman are seeking shelter from the rain. Shusaku manages to forge a symbiosis between the body and its surroundings and to show a whole range of emotions - from ecstasy to pain to tenderness - with only minor motions. Conen captures this game in beautiful, intriguing black-and-white images with yellow as a surprising accent.
