They generally end up in the garbage, but used tampons can also have another destination, as indie rock band Canshaker Pi demonstrates in this video.

The music video for What You’re Trying to Say by Amsterdam-based indie rock band Canshaker Pi was shot in the catacombs of Paradiso, more specifically in and around the ladies’ toilets. The slow-motion images and cold lighting intensify the ominous atmosphere even more. The video shows how different women take a tampon from the lavatory attendant’s saucer and enter the toilet - and what happens to the used tampons afterwards. Singer/guitarist Willem Smit wrote the script for the video, in which band member Ruben van Weegberg plays a role.
