Every year on 4 May, Holland remembers its victims of war. A unique moment during this annual ritual is the two-minute silence. For 2 minuten stilte a.u.b. the filmmaker Heddy Honigmann asked several people on the morning and afternoon of 4 May what this day means to them. For instance, she visites filmmaker Netty Rosenfeld, writer Anne Enquist, a barkeeper on Dam Square and the daughter of a Dutch Nazi. On the evening of 4 May, various camera crews follow these people during their visit to the memorial service and film them during the two-minute silence.
