Drawing on personal experiences and supported by visual material and case studies, the Danish sound designer and music supervisor Peter Albrechtsen will explain his working process.

Albrechtsen knows what he’s talking about: he has been a member of AMPAS (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science) since 2017 and has been nominated several times for the Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel Award for his sound design for films including The Killing of Two Lovers and The Territory. His work on the documentary The Cave earned him an Oscar nomination. As a sound effect recordist he worked on Dunkirk and as a music supervisor he worked closely with world famous artists such as Antony and the Johnsons and Jóhann Jóhannsson.

In this Prof Talk, Albrechtsen will talk about his working method and creative process, and the musicality of sound design. An unmissable session for lovers of sound in film.
