NFF Prof Talk: Architects of Audience

Some filmmakers say they only create their work for themselves, others wish to reach the biggest crowds, or even... effect meaningful change in the world. Regardless, audience is essential in the film’s impact.

Do you know who you are making your film for? And how these people think, behave and regard the world and everything you present to them? How do you ensure that you not only have a strategy to reach the people that you want to reach, but also think of different ways to include them in the creation of your work?

In this talk, we will discuss everything from launching impact campaigns and lasting change, to reaching the right communities through cinematic experiences and how to involve yourself in audience design.

This session includes a presentation on a new Dutch Impact Lab, which will soon launch in the Netherlands.

Language: English

Speakers: Síle Culley (Audience Designer), Anthony Andrews (We Are Parable), James Warren (Intermission Film) and Hasse van Nunen (Impact Producer).
