Documentary by Brigit Hillenius about her father who passed away at an early age. Biologist Dick Hillenius died eight years ago at the age of 59. His suddenly death left a gap in the life of his daughter Brigit. To keep the memory of her father alive, she made the full-length documentary Senses Are the Feet of the Soul.
The film focuses on four people who knew Dick Hillenius well: his wife Florrie Hillenius, his brother Jaap Hillenius, the biologist Annie Zuiderwijk and Leo Vroman, poet and biologist in New York. The filmmaker also visited several places where her father worked and lived. Places that still remind one of his presence.
