Adventure series for the whole family in the tradition of American comic-strip heroes such as Batman, Superman and Dick Tracey. Zeeuws meisje (Girl from Zeeland) is set in a distant future when Holland has been turned into one long traffic jam and the whole country is full of buildings. On top of an apartment block lives the Girl from Zeeland. With her father Pa Hielke she maintains Dutch tradition: traditional dress, mashed potatoes, carrots and onions, and Delft Blue porcelain. But the Girl from Zeeland is also a real heroine: she can fly and when danger threatens, the decorative ear plates on her lace hat start turning. Each episode focuses on a typically Dutch phenomenon: the Queen's Birthday free market, flooding or ice skating.
