A sandman makes beautiful sand sculptures.
The main character in this animation film is a Sandman. He has magical finger tips with which he can make figures of sand. He builds a castle that looks if it has come straight out of a fairytale. The opening party however, is disturbed by an unexpected visitor: the wind. Sandcastle won the first prize during the Festival of Annecy in 1977. The year after it was awarded an Oscar.
