Film based on true events about the deaf Surinamese boy Wiren, whose ambitions take him from his small hometown to the capital of Paramaribo, where he goes to the Kennedy boarding school. Later, when university refuses him admittance, he realises deaf people do not have the same opportunities as hearing ones. He decides to seek justice by suing the government, to force them to adhere to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
