For a change, this interactive web documentary does not revolve around star players or FIFA bigwigs, but around average people who are confronted with the World Soccer Championships. Three cities (Rio de Janeiro, Leipzig and Johannesburg) each furnished twelve personal stories that jointly create a unique portrait of people living around World Cup stadiums. Informed by audio reports, stories in text, photographs, Google Street View and Google Maps, the film illuminates the social, economic and cultural impact this soccer show has. Who can call themselves the real winners of the past three World Cups: the investors, the government leaders or the residents?
