Short film in which a blind man (Van Moerkerken) sets off on foot into the world on the way to the village of Holysloot, near Amsterdam. The film was shot between 1963 and 1983 both in Holland and abroad. The film was awarded a Golden Calf for Best Short Film in 1983.
Van Moerkerken's last film, adapted from his first collection of stories, in which a blind man (Van Moerkerken) is walking to Holysloot. The journey takes him around the world, across various landscapes. Gradually, the man runs over a paralysed person: a wink to Buñuel's surrealist film L'Age d'Or, in which the protagonist kicks down a blind man. The film was shot between 1963 and 1983, both in the Netherlands and abroad, and was awarded a Golden Calf for Best Short Film in 1983.
