In 1943, the Jewish horse trader Menne, decorated with the Iron Cross in World War I, receives a deportation notice for himself, his wife Marga and their daughter Karin. They decide to let Marga and Karin go into hiding at a nearby farm. Menne goes underground at another farm. Story, based on true events, about treason and resistance on the German countryside, directed by the Dutchman Ludi Boeken.
