Interactive application enables users to navigate the multimedia archive of the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision on the basis of camera movements.
How can you open up the national multimedia memory in a new way? Within the framework of the Open Art Media project, the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision developed an accessible tool to navigate their database: by using types of camera movements as search queries. Since the camera handling techniques of thousands of archived items were mapped, users of the Unfolded Cinematography app can now also browse the Dutch visual and film history by means of zooms, pans and tilts.
