All of a sudden, the 19-year-old Frenchman Henri is confronted with life’s finiteness and vulnerability. The narrow asphalt road meandering through the woods and fields. The tree at the crossing with fresh flowers at its bottom. Something happened that permanently changed Henri’s life. Since that moment, he is alone, always and everywhere. In this black-and-white drama full of visual ingenuities, Henri calmly talks about the tragic incident and the emotional alienation from his environment.
