Semi-autobiographical feature début by singer Herman Van Veen looks at the life of a successful singer plagued by an unhappy marriage (the wife is played by Monique van de Ven) who starts an affair with another woman (played by Van Veen's wife at the time, Marlous Fluitsma). The popularity of the film music ensured the film a modest box-office success.
