Tötliche Lüge is the first from a series of 'Große TV-Roman'-films produced by the commercial channel RTL TV. This TV film directed by Ate de Jong clearly shows the basic idea of the series: exciting TV films focusing on women in extreme situations. This first episode is about the presenter of an outspoken TV show who asks her guests intimate questions about their private lives. She gets into trouble when an ex-con gets into her private life and that of her daughter. Until he forces her to reveal her deepest secrets in her own talk show.
