Tragicomic stop-motion animation about a lugworm digger, who during his hard work on the Wadden Sea gets help from an unlikely source. About seagulls, ABBA and the winner taking it all.
From the cabin of the boat, rumbling and mumbling is heard. It is Hessel the lugworm digger who is ready to start his day. His radio tuned into his favourite channel, he begins his hard labour. When Hessel’s radio plays a tune by ABBA, he is amazed to see that all the seagulls around him start tapping their feet; the lugworms come to the surface and Hessel’s bucket quickly fills up. But when the music abruptly stops in this tragicomic stop-motion animation, the winner knows what to do with the catch.
