Fantastic potpourri of live action and various animation styles deals with tragic hero Anglobilly Feverson who is determined to escape through the hole in the sky.
His head always tilted up, Anglobilly Feverson sees a whole in the sky one day. He is derided, but flies off into the sky with a self-made machine. In a varied animation style of colour and black-and-white, 3d computer animation and line drawings, incorporating photographs and footage of people, the film shows Anglobilly's journey among winged denizens of the air and assailed by an overwhelming thunderstorm.
