On 30 June 2002, the World Soccer Championships final took place in Japan, between Germany and Brazil. Earlier that day, another final took place, between the numbers 202 and 203 of the world rankings. The national team of Bhutan - a country roughly located between India and China - played, watched by hundreds of Bhutan supporters and the world press, a home match against the best players of Montserrat, a volcanic Caribbean island. Johan Kramer registered the game - organised by Dutchman Matthijs de Jongh - and the bumpy road to this final. The scenes with the preparations both on Montserrat and in Bhutan are interlarded with short interviews with authorities and 'star' players. More importantly than the match itself, different cultures are brought together, which results for instance in a unique rendition of world hit Hot hot hot (of Montserrat singer Arrow) by the soccer fans of Bhutan.
