The Modular Body

Cornelis Vlasman is a versatile, unconventional biologist who dares to deploy his own body cells to develop a living organism. He does so in cooperation with a self-chosen team of scientists and his own science lab. In this non-linear, online science-fiction story, which is thematically reminiscent of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, more than fifty clickable videos disclose how the process works, which complex problems the team runs into and which ethical issues pop up.
