The holiest road in the world or a 'settlers’ road'? Web documentary enables viewers to use a map to navigate Route 60 through the West Bank in search of the answer.

In June 2017, the Israeli occupation of the West Bank had lasted for half a century. Looking for stories behind the occupation, photographer Dirk-Jan Visser and NRC correspondent Derk Walters took a camera and travelled down Route 60, the 125-mile-long road across occupied territory that runs along religious sanctuaries and Jewish settlements. In the process, the two spoke to all parties involved and incorporated the interviews in a web documentary in which viewers can navigate the occupied territory themselves with the help of a map.
