Documentary about elderly bon vivants who meet like senior ‘street youths’ in a rusty club home. They briefly feel young again, but unfortunately reality is never far away.
Twenty-five elderly men meet every day in their ‘clubhouse’: an iron shack in their former working-class district in Amersfoort. Mobility scooters are parked intimidatingly in the public garden, reminiscent of a motor gang, and the gentlemen like to whistle at passing women. In their rusty shipping container, they briefly feel twenty again. But every time when someone is ill or passes away, they get a very rough wake-up call; the modern world is complicated, their life is nearing its end and loneliness and disease will not be kept out.
