In this mosaic feature, shot in three Asian cities, a gay cab driver, a pregnant trophy wife and a kif from the slums struggle with the constraints of their social class.
The influence of globalisation is painfully crystallised in this mosaic film, situated in three Asian metropolises. Mutual misunderstanding, miscommunication and exploitation complicate life for a homosexual taxi driver in Beijing, a prosperous pregnant woman in Hong Kong and a poor kid from the slums of Jakarta. A human fable about the drawbacks of globalisation and the 24-hour economy of Asia, where sincerity appears to be the only way to break through social barriers.
