Anne has a passion for linguistic twists. But in this romcom and adaptation of the eponymous bestseller, life itself does not come easy to her. No love, no career, family worries. But is that a photographer on a white horse over there?
People who know that Paulien Cornelisse’s eponymous book was the inspiration of this film will not be surprised that Anne's light-footed adventures are seasoned with diverting language issues. Stopgaps, mangled words, weird baby names - Anne holds some strong opinions on them. But for the glossy that employs her she can only write about fashion and design. Her life is on hold. No man, a dreary job, plus the care of her father with dementia. She is about to resign when she suddenly has the chance to interview a handsome photographer. Is this the fireworks that will lead to happiness?
