There is a city where all the candy is owned by one man: the show-off Ralf Kwist. While he and his friends live on a mountain of sweets, the club around factory labourer Ouwe Olle has to make do with nothing. Nevertheless, the group lives very happily in an old factory. When Kwist’s wife falls for factory hand Saba, the fight between the candy owner - who has had his eyes on the factory site for ages - and Ouwe Olle really flares up. All the roles in this musical youth film are played by children; from the mayor to the bulldozer driver.
