The plump eighteen-year-old schoolgirl Elizabeth is going through a rough period. She is harassed, assaulted and terribly badgered. Since her parents got divorced, she has become more and more isolated. There is one boy that helps her, but eventually he chooses the prettiest girl in class after all. Elizabeth fantasises what it would be like if the roles were reversed. When she finally can’t take it anymore, she makes a dramatic decision. A poignant thriller around contemporary youth problems, based on Judith Visser’s eponymous book.
