Science fiction film with hi-tech special effects presents a satirical view on American society in the 24th century. In a militaristic state, three school friends (played by dollishly handsome soap actors) are brainwashed by a Nazi-like teacher into enlisting for military service. Their mission is to defend the Federation against murderous beetles from another planet, who are out to destroy humanity. During the ensuing intergalactic war, relational problems also make themselves felt.
