Full-length animated film for the little ones, inspired and produced by the Efteling amusement park, shows the adventures of Little Red Riding and other fairytale characters, who end up in Winterland.
The third full-length Dutch animated film ever (after Als je begrijpt wat ik bedoel in 1983 and Beertje Sebastiaanin 1991) is an adventurous fairytale for children. The characters are based on well-known figures from the Efteling amusement park, which previously produced theatre shows and TV programmes, and with Sprookjesboom de filmenters cinemas for the first time. In the computer-animated story, partly created with motion-capture performances - told by the talking Fairytale Tree - Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, Cinderella, Tom Thumb and the Giant incidentally end up in mysterious Winterland, a world of snow and icy inhabitants. To be able to return home, they first have to find five crystals, a quest that is hampered by an evil Witch who wants to assume power in the Fairytale Forest.
