In his fifties, Viggo tries to pick up his life after serving a prison sentence. He is chronically ill, wants to bid farewell to crime and decides to write a book about his eventful past. To this end, he plunges into the family archives in this revealing documentary. His father, a resistance fighter, often filmed his family. After seeing this home footage, Viggo discusses the painful past with two of his sisters. It turns out they are just as damaged as he is. With the camera as a witness, old wounds are opened up.
