Burt Reynolds is Larry, who after a trip across Morocco has landed in Amsterdam in the late sixties and now runs a second-hand bookstore. When he meets Moroccan Aisha, it's goodbye to peace and quiet.
English-spoken romantic feature film in which Burt Reynolds plays the leading character of American Larry, who settled in Amsterdam in the late sixties after a trip across Morocco. Today, the former hippie lives and works in his own second-hand bookstore on a canal. A dusty suitcase filled with collections of poems written by himself triggers sweet memories. Flashbacks show a love story in which Larry experiences a romantic adventure with a Moroccan beauty. The charismatic bachelor is unable to let go of the past and does not have any ambitious future plans. Not even when a shrewd businessman (comical role by Pierre Bokma) shows an interest in Larry's property and offers him a handsome sum for it. Everything changes when one day the store is visited by an American-Moroccan girl who takes very personal photographs in order to find her own identity.
