Part three of the vicissitudes of the saintly man and his Black Petes, in which Sinterklaas’ annual entry is endangered when he discovers during an interim inspection in the summery Netherlands that his supply of packages is missing.
After Sinterklaas en het geheim van het grote boek (2008) and Sinterklaas en de verdwenen pakjesboot (2009), this is part three in a successful series of family films with musical intermezzos, in which a fixed cast plays a number of fixed characters. This time, Sinterklaas and his Peters pay a covert, interim visit to the Netherlands in the middle of summer to check his secret supply of packages, which he stocked so he didn’t have to ship them from Spain. But when his Packages Boeing has to make an emergency landing on a motorway and the packages hangars turn out to be empty, the intrigues start piling up. So, various Peters and the police begin to suspect that something strange is going on, especially when it turns out the vicious Dr. Brein and her accomplices Joris and Boris hide on the island of Schiermonnikoog. The annual entry is even endangered. All storylines converge on the sunny Frisian island, including the Packages Boeing. Featuring Gerard Joling and Frans Bauer as themselves.
