Subdued but harrowing love story. On a roof in a war-torn Kurdish town, a man is awaiting his lover’s return from the front.

From the roof of a building in a war-torn Kurdish town, Ferhat watches his dearest Sherin leave, armed for the front. He prefers to stay home: he can’t see the use of a revolution that will make things even worse. Ferhat awaits Sherin’s return, while musing about their romance. In a subdued style, this Dutch-Iraqi production tells a harrowing love story.
