Documentary series in twelve instalments celebrating the meeting between literature and cinema. The writers’ portraits form a cross section of the state of affairs in both disciplines. The films show the authors’ mainsprings and the way these are expressed in their books. Hans Hylkema made a portrait of Esther Gerritsen, writer of novels such as Superduif and Dorst and columnist for the VPRO Guide. In 2014, her work was presented with the Frans Kellendonk Award.
