Documentary series in twelve instalments celebrating the meeting between literature and cinema. The writers’ portraits form a cross section of the state of affairs in both disciplines. The films show the authors’ mainsprings and the way these are expressed in their books. Lisa Boerstra portrayed cartoonist (and drummer) Barbara Stok. Besides autobiographical cartoons, mostly set around her hometown Groningen, Stok creates graphic novels and picture books. In 2009, she received the Stripschapprijs (from the Dutch Society of comics fans) for her oeuvre.
