Documentary in which a Bolivian ski lift operator watches the snow and ice vanish from the glacier. While scientists measure ominous changes, he honours the ancient mountain spirits.
In Bolivia the glaciers are melting. Samuel, an old ski lift operator, is looking out on the rooftop of the world. For generations, his family has lived and worked in the snowy mountains, but now snow fails. Bare, brown rocks replace the majestic white. The documentary shows how due to climate change life and traditions are changing or even disappearing. While scientists are measuring and discussing ominous developments, Samuel honours the ancient mountain spirits, while the clouds continue to drift by.
