Personal quest of a young Dutch documentary filmmaker who tries to unravel the story, taboo among her relatives, about her grandma who died young and tragically in Israel.
In this personal road trip, the young Dutch filmmaker Iris Mimon visits relatives in Israel, Boston and Toronto, bearing a list of questions. When Iris’ grandmother Judith was twenty, she passed away after an illegal abortion. Sixty years later, her granddaughter tries to reveal the tragic truth about her grandma and break open family taboos. Which role did Judith’s husband play? How is it possible that the date on her grave was modified later on? Why do her descendants know nothing about Judith?
