In black-and-white, a man is rowing across the IJ river. The images of the man in the boat and the far-off quays are shaky and blurred. They were shot frame by frame with a self-built 'cinepinhole' camera, which was developed and used by the filmmaker in the film Machineoog. In the background, the English children's song 'Row, row, row your boat' is briefly heard.
