Radeloos

Paco is a seventeen-year-old boy with two main hobbies: restoring old-timers and performing as a DJ. His world collapses when his father suddenly dies and his girlfriend breaks up with him. He takes refuge in booze and becomes more and more isolated. Paco's classmate Yara fancies him, but he does not even know she exists. She lives with her mother, who is a real estate agent and wants Yara to become a model, but Yara prefers to go to the art academy. She starts feeling increasingly insecure about her body and decides to go on a diet. Perhaps Paco will like her then. Radeloos shows common adolescent problems in a modern setting. With recognisable characters, contemporary music, friendship and romance, but also the loss of a parent, alcoholism, anorexia and insecurity. Radeloos is the third adaptation of a book by the successful author of youth books Carry Slee, after Afblijven and Timboektoe.
