A famous quizmaster is harassed by a stranger in a restaurant who claims to have kidnapped his wife and daughter. This leads to a macabre game in which the quizmaster is suddenly a candidate himself.
Leo Vandermolen thoroughly enjoys his status of popular TV personality. His weekly quiz keeps millions of viewers glued to the screen. Vandermolen - affable, handsome and a tad arrogant - has a twelve-year-old daughter and seems happily married. But his ostensibly carefree life grinds to an abrupt halt during what should have been a romantic dinner. After recording the show, he waits for his family in an Italian restaurant and is addressed by a stranger. Initially, Leo takes him for a fan, but when the man presents a Polaroid showing his wife and daughter in shackles, it is clear that this skunk has malicious intentions. Thriller that, vintage Dick Maas, is larded with due humour.
