Children who are diagnosed with cancer stay in the hospital regularly and often lengthily. This empathic documentary shows these little patients from up close, during their hospital stay and the treatments in the Prinses Máxima Centrum in Utrecht. Annoying events like injections, scans, surgery and hair loss alternate with sometimes playful, sometimes sad images that the children shot themselves. How do they experience painful surgery, how do they react to disappointing results and how do they cope with their illness?
