Follow-up to the successful Pietje Bell. This youth film - from the books by ex-teacher Chris van Abcoude - is set in the 1930's in Rotterdam, where little rascal Pietje Bell (Quinten Schram) has some exciting adventures. The starting signal is a snowball fight in which a window of sourpuss Geelman's pharmacy gets shattered. The shop is burgled and of course the finger is pointed at Pietje. He ends up in a prison cell, where he meets the scoundrels who owe their sojourn behind bars to his Gang of the Black Hand: a vengeful newspaper tycoon, two thieves, as well as Pietje's best friend Sproet's father. Around his sister's engagement party, Pietje gets wind of a conspiracy revolving around a czar's crown. There is nothing else for it: the Black Hand has to come into operation again. Awarded a Platinum Film.
