Documentary about white war veterans in South Africa. Under the Apartheid regime in the 70s and 80s, thousands of young soldiers fought on the border between Namibia and Angola against freedom fighters who combatted the regime from neighbouring countries. Alongside the army, there was also the Koevoet police unit - a murder machine that made many victims. Little is known about what they did exactly, so Saskia Vredeveld went back to the country where she grew up. There she interviewed four war veterans about their activities, motivation and the gruesome facts of war. Leon does not regret his actions with Koevoet, he sees them at most as a waste of time. John, Sean and Mark are still at war, ten years after, but with themselves.
