Cinematographic impression of Amsterdam's Vondelpark through four seasons. Shot with a classic 16mm hand camera.
Cinematographic impression of a park through four seasons. Every Sunday for a year several shots were made in Amsterdam's Vondelpark with a classic 16mm hand camera, with a mechanical spring that limited shots to a maximum of twenty seconds. The footage provides a picture of the vegetation in and visitors to the park. They show how everything that grows changes into an altered version of itself four times a year and how the people who visit the park take advantage of the opportunities offered by the different seasons. A sound collage including radio fragments from the short wave accompanies the 'silent' images of the film.
