Part one: Conversing the cut discusses through a series of eleven interviews with Egyptian filmmakers, critics and censors cinematic censorship. Part two: Getting around the play is a video recording of actors rehearsing the monologues of the protagonist from a 1943 radio play entitled Sorry, wrong number, written by Lucille Fletcher. The recording clearly depersonalizes the monologue and dramatizes the rehearsal as a fetishised re-enactment.
