The robots are coming! And the algorithms and AIs. Welcome to the Frankenstein era. How human will humans still be in the future, and can you build a robot to replace a film director?
More Human than Human explores what it means to live in an era of intelligent machines. In a personal, playful and sometimes dramatic way, the filmmaker examines what is at stake regarding creativity and human values, when he builds a robot to see if it can replace him as a film director. Will artificial intelligence, infinitely smarter, better connected and possibly self-aware, eventually render humans obsolete? Introducing futurists and sceptics, including roboticist Daniel H. Wilson, author of science-fiction book Robopocalypse, Brian Christian, author of The Most Human Human, Garry Kasparov, the world’s best chess player who was beaten by a computer, psychologist Dr. Robert Epstein and robot designer David Hanson.
