And suddenly the tables are turned, and you as a daughter are taking care of your aged mother. Intimate perspective on family care, when three daughters are forced to put their lives in the parking position.
In addition to their own families and busy lives, Elien, Carin and Hanna take care of their ageing mothers. They do so out of love, but occasionally it causes some frustration. While they wash, clothe, feed and care, their mothers increasingly lose their grip on life. In the process, the roles of parent and child are ruthlessly flipped in this observing and sometimes painful documentary about family care. The daughters bring part of their working and private life to a halt, to be there for their mothers, often in a self-effacing way.
