A portrait of the Netherlands and its people following the plane disaster involving flight MH17, which took place on 17 July 2014 and took 298 lives (including 196 from the Netherlands). The documentary wants to give the people a face who were confronted with this catastrophe and depict the collective grief that swamped the country. Van Erp follows the next of kin of three families, who each in a different way bid farewell to their loved ones. The subtle film is not only about mourning, but also about resilience.
