Liza never knew her Italian father. He ran off when she was three and has since travelled across the world as a musician. Now Liza has grown up, he suddenly invites her to meet him in Venice and travel to Istanbul together. But forging the father-daughter bond turns out to be more complex than anticipated. Eventually, the true reason of the reunification comes to light. A road movie full of conflicting emotions, interlaced with images of Liza who after returning to the Netherlands commits her experiences to a video, intended for her son who is still young now.
