Atmospheric observation of five adolescents, three boys and two girls, on a languid summer's day on a secluded quay by a river. They swim, they sleep, they eat snacks and ice cream. Liberge captures the skinny bodies and the surroundings with a keen eye to detail. As music and dialogue are missing, everyday sounds attract attention: bicycles riding on gravel, feet gliding through water, gasps and splutters. At the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2006, Meander won the Prix UIP. The same year it won the Golden Calf for Best Short.
